A jazz crossover born in 2005,
reimagined for today

Is it “Jazz is Over” Or “All Over Jazz”
JAZZOVER is a contemporary music project led by producer okamoto and guitarist moriuchi. The project began in 2005 as JAZZOVER Hybrid Project, bringing together musicians with diverse musical backgrounds and nationalities. The sound moves across multiple fields: contemporary jazz at its core, blended with elements of ethnic music, ambient textures, and modern grooves.

After a quiet pause of nearly twenty years, JAZZOVER returns with a new release: JAZZOVER REMIX plus 1 - Old seeds bloom
By reconstructing earlier works with modern technology, the project revisits its original music and explores new possibilities in the process of music creation.

hybrid — jazzover hybrid project (2005)

The debut album that started it all. Recorded with musicians of varied nationalities and musical backgrounds, hybrid is a nine-track journey from acoustic jazz and bossa nova through ambient textures, Hindu folk melodies, and future jazz — all woven together with cool, meticulous arrangements.
